Cosmetics with rose on packaging

You will feel the wonderful refreshing effect of rose cosmetics from the very first day of using cosmetics. Every second is filled with roses and their freshness, as the prolonged action of biologically active substances provides constant care for the skin. The rose oil contained in the composition is anti-inflammatory, soothing, emollient, and also stimulates the regeneration of damaged and aging tissue cells and has an antioxidant effect. In addition, rose oil has long been considered a powerful aphrodisiac!

The Bulgarian Rose Damascena is undeniably precious. Rose oil is the most valuable essential oil that gives us fragrance, calmness, and cleansing. Thousands of petals must be processed so that we can get one single drop. Rose oil is the liquid gold of Bulgaria. It is of very high quality, thanks to favorable climatic conditions and the ecologically clean area in which the oilseed rose is grown. We are talking about the “Valley of Roses”, this is where the natural habitat of roses is located. All products of the Rose of BULGARIA line cleans and tones the skin, moisturizes and maintains hydrolipid balance, stimulates cell regeneration, soothes and eliminates inflammation, has an antioxidant effect, and slows down the appearance of wrinkles.

The rose was awarded the title of queen of flowers not only due to its beauty and aroma. Yes, she is beautiful - but also useful. Cosmetics manufacturers have been using the properties of rose water, as well as oils and extracts, for hundreds of years. It is no coincidence that the rose has become a symbol of the Lancôme brand and the basis of many of its products.

Beneficial properties of rose for skin

It is believed that this flower came to us from the countries of the Middle East, where it has been used for skin care since ancient times. Aristocrats washed their faces with rose water. Rose essence gave their skin a fragrance, and anointing with rose oil gave it radiance and tenderness. By the way, the first mention of rose oil is associated with the name of the famous Persian doctor and philosopher Avicenna.

Obtaining the precious rose extract is quite labor-intensive.

It is very important to collect the petals correctly. Damask rose flowers, which resemble rose hips, are harvested in June. This is done manually at dawn, when the amount of nutrients is maximum.

Then hydrolate is obtained from them. Extraction of the necessary substances occurs using water. In this case, the rose retains its precious properties to the greatest extent.

The list of beneficial properties of rose extract and oil is impressive:

increase skin firmness and elasticity;

reduce sensitivity and reactivity;

increase resistance to photoaging.

Features of the composition

A record amount of valuable substances allows you to solve skin problems. Thus, rose extract and oil contain:

Most of these substances are powerful antioxidants. Anthocyanins are known for their ability to strengthen the walls of blood vessels, and tannins, due to their astringent properties, narrow pores.

Use of rose extract in cosmetics

Rose aromatic oil and extract are included in cosmetics for a wide variety of purposes:

moisturizing and anti-aging creams.

But the real sensation was the creation by the Lancôme brand of the Absolue Precious Cells line of anti-aging products, which uses native rose cells. Fermogenesis technology makes it possible to isolate these cells from the most valuable varieties, maximizing their viability and stimulating properties. We invite you to familiarize yourself with the products from this series.

The product also contains proxilan, which helps restore collagen fibers, and a complex based on beeswax and almond oil, which nourishes and smoothes the skin.

Pink petals shine through the transparent glass of the jar, which immediately creates a fabulous effect. And when you apply a product with a gel texture to the skin, this feeling only intensifies. The formula with rose damask water, rose centifolia and rose canina extracts instantly refreshes and softens the skin, making it soft and radiant. Hyaluronic acid is responsible for hydration.

I already wrote in a previous article about Bulgaria that in terms of shopping in the “clothes-bags-shoes” category, you can’t really go wild in Sofia. What about cosmetics? Here I immediately want to switch to Verochka’s intonations from “Office Romance” and start the story with the words: “Lyudmila Prokofyevna, you just need to take a closer look at all this.”

The main disadvantage of Bulgarian cosmetics is often the completely collective farm design of the packaging, which really reeks of the style of the 80s. The main advantage is the natural composition of the ingredients and the active use of the legendary Damask rose oil. Of course, you shouldn’t expect amazing miracles from using jars, but, on the other hand, what cream can rejuvenate us by 20 years, unless we received it as a gift from Azazello? But in terms of maintaining beauty, products with rose Bulgarian oil are very good, moreover, they are also inexpensive, so you won’t feel excruciatingly painful for wasted money.

IN THE NAME OF THE ROSE

What is Bulgaria famous for? Of course, damask roses, the same ones that our William Shakespeare mentioned in sonnet number 130. Flowers were brought to the country from Persia back in the 13th century. The famous Valley of Roses is located south of the Balkan Mountains, and the mass cultivation of wonderfully smelling flowers, from which rose oil and essences are obtained, which is then purchased by the Guerlain perfume house, began here already in the 16th century. Today, not only cosmetics are made from Damask roses; rose oil is also actively used in the production of pharmaceuticals.

The oil is often obtained by the method of primitive rose growing. In fact, it repeats the same technology that was used by Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, the main character of Suskind’s book “Perfume”. You can see the process at the Rose Institute, which is located in the city of Kazanlak, but also in a cosmetics store Bulgarian Rose , which is located in the center of Sofia at Tsar Osvoboditel Boulevard, 12, there is a showroom where devices for grinding petals and vats for brewing are displayed.

The cosmetics sold here have been produced in the city of Karlovo since 1948; this place, along with Kazanlak and Kalofer, is considered the largest center for the cultivation and subsequent processing of flowers. It’s worth saying right away that the Bulgarian Rose company doesn’t make anything from rose oil: in addition to creams, tonics, body oils, hair care products and other cosmetic delights, you can buy jam from rose petals, chocolate with roses, and even mineral water with rose oil. Well, now about what of the presented variety I was able to try for myself.

1. BULGARIAN ROSE SIGNATURE SPA BODY OIL

I smeared the oil on my body and immediately remembered the Bon Jovi song Bed Of Roses, the same one where the lyrical hero dreams of laying his beloved on a bed of roses, while he himself lies on a bed of thorns. The main feature, of course, is the aroma of Damask rose - bright, intense, but not vulgar, from the “grandmother’s hair mask” series. Most of all, it resembles Dolce&Gabanna Rose the One eau de toilette, whose face was Scarlett Johansson.

If we talk about other properties of the oil, then it intensively nourishes the skin, which after application is felt immediately and immediately; the product is absorbed at an average speed, that is, not instantly, but after 5-7 minutes you can already get dressed without the risk of staining your clothes. However, I cannot recommend it to everyone, because if you use the oil in the morning, the rich scent of roses can either overwhelm the aroma of your perfume, or mix with it in a completely inappropriate way, especially if you like unisex perfumes. At night, the oil should only be used by those who sleep peacefully in a room where there is a bouquet of freshly cut flowers. But if the intense floral smell at night gives you a headache in the morning, don’t take risks with oil, as there is a possibility that the effect will be exactly the same. And, yes, if your man does not like perfume experiments (my dad, for example, has an allergic reaction to any strong floral smell), then alas, it is better to refuse oil. On the other hand, if you love roses, then this product may be for you both a body skin care product and eau de toilette in one bottle.

Contains: natural rose oil, natural rose water, brown algae extract, argan oil, almond oil, calendula extract, vitamin E.

2. FACE MASK ROSE ORIGINAL AQUA

The manufacturer promises that the mask provides intense hydration, and at the same time helps smooth out fine expression wrinkles, eliminate signs of fatigue and stress, plus energizes the skin. I would like to argue with the statement about expression wrinkles; in my experience, only injections and other cosmetic procedures that are not in the “home care” category can get rid of them, but, nevertheless, the Rose Original Aqua mask is a valuable acquisition. Immediately after application, the skin begins to tingle a little, but the sensation goes away after 5 minutes (you need to keep the mask on your face for a total of 15 minutes). The product is opaque, white, but after application to the skin it immediately becomes transparent and becomes completely invisible, so you won’t be able to scare your family with its appearance. The structure is very light and pleasant, as if it were not a mask on the face, but a serum.

One of the advantages that is immediately noticeable to the naked eye is that the skin is perfectly awakened (apparently, this is what was meant by the fight against stress and saturation with energy). The tired grayish tint of the face of the “man exhausted by Narzan” ingloriously capitulates, and from the mirror a youthful, healthy face looks at you, which seems to say: “Yes, I’m great! I eat only organic food, take vitamins, sleep 8 hours, and go to bed at 21.00, like Sophia Loren.” I also noticed that the mask copes well with rosacea, unless, of course, it is in an advanced stage, when nothing other than laser procedures can help the face. Here the slight redness goes away and the blood vessels become less noticeable. What about hydration? Honestly, I didn't notice much. But for the “quickly put your face in order” effect, the Rose Original Aqua mask is definitely worth buying - an excellent emergency beauty product. Yes, another interesting point: you don’t need to wash off the mask; its remnants must be removed from the skin with a damp cotton pad.

Contains: Bulgarian rose oil, natural rose water, plant alternative to hyaluronic acid (cassia seed polysaccharide), panthenol.

3. CREAM FOR THE SKIN AROUND THE EYES ROSE ORIGINAL Q10

The jar was purchased as a small birthday present for my luxurious neighbor Louise, and I chose it for several reasons: firstly, the product, unlike others, did not have a strong rose scent (the same mask smells, albeit not like a body oil, but still quite intense), and secondly, I liked the texture of the tester. Light, as if it were not a cream at all, but a gel.

Next I give the floor to Louise: “Bellissima! This morning I applied it under my eyes and it was as if I had slept for 8 hours, not 6, when I was once again woken up by clients from Australia! They always call me on What's App at six in the morning! Very light product, you can do your makeup right away. Yes, it removes dark circles under the eyes, removes a little more swelling from the eyelids, and then the skin is so smooth and smooth.” Why didn’t I take a jar for myself?

Contains: Bulgarian rose oil, natural rose water, coenzyme Q10, avocado oil, moisturizing complex.

4. CHOCOLATE WITH PINK PETALS

While I was looking at cosmetics, my husband wasted no time either. He studied the shelves with food with the passion characteristic of Italians. Yes, in Bulgaria Damask rose petals are also used as a food product.

The decision to buy jam or jam from rose petals with raspberries was rejected due to the fact that we were flying with hand luggage, and the jar did not fit within the permissible volume of 100 ml. I had to take chocolate with rose petals. By the way, it was eaten on the spot.

What to say? Unusually, you get the feeling that you are eating chocolates that someone carelessly crumbled into a sachet. But overall, nothing special, just try it once out of curiosity.

5. ROSE DRINKING WATER

The most controversial purchase in the store Bulgarian Rose. We bought it, of course, purely out of sporting interest. As I understand it, whoever came up with this product sought to combine two Bulgarian specialties in one bottle: local thermal water and rose oil. What happened in the end? Remember, in the film “Gentlemen of Fortune” the hero Savely Kramarov drank shampoo? I have never tried to do this, but I dare to suggest that Bulgarian Rose drinking water can be safely called a non-alcoholic version of cologne.

The fact is that when you first drink water, that’s all you feel, and then the aftertaste sets in, and your mouth is filled with the rich taste of roses, as if you had just sipped butter from a vat or chewed a whole bud picked in the rose garden. Wow! It's a strange feeling, strange. To put it mildly, not for everyone. Even if I wanted to, I couldn’t classify myself as one of them; I never finished drinking the water from the bottle. But, they say, this cocktail is extremely beneficial for health, however, to ensure this, rose water should be consumed regularly, and for this you need to have extremely specific taste preferences. But the water was great for wiping your face! By the way, the recipe is also ancient; back in medieval Florence, local beauties were doing this.

Summary: What can I say in the end? It seemed to me that the Bulgarian cosmetics Bulgarian Rose can be compared with the Finnish Lumene, they were also not taken seriously for a long time because of low prices, and then the company’s policy changed dramatically and now the same cloudberry cream costs many times more than before. That is, the formulas of Bulgarian Rose are decent, the design of the cans is horror-horror, but the prices are low. It’s definitely worth taking a closer look and buying, otherwise, God forbid, the management of Bulgarian Rose will change, as happened with Lumene, cosmetics with Damask rose oil will begin to be produced in stylish packaging, but will also be sold at completely different prices.
