Kramer Shin is a Danish surgeon, one of the founders of general surgery. He is also known as a professor of physical therapy at the Swedish Faculty of Medicine and a member of the Academy of Sciences in Stockholm.

Shin's main works, the most famous of which are: "Manual of Surgery" (1879-82), "General Course of Surgery." In his first work, he focuses on the pathological processes of the thoracic and abdominal organs; in the second - general issues of surgery and the organization of surgical departments. A number of Shin's works are devoted to the issues of surgery of mediastinal hernias and tumors.
