Glaucomatous crisis

Glaucoma is a group of diseases of the eyeball, which is accompanied by increased intraocular pressure and various accompanying dysfunctions of the visual system. Glioma is a group of malignant neoplasms of the optic nerve. Optic neuritis is a form of neuritis. Hydrocele of the eye is the result of fluid accumulation in the space under the membranes of the eyeball. Retinal pigment abiotrophy is a dysfunction of the retina with the formation of foci of atrophy.

Crisis is a period of illness or a sharp deterioration in condition against the background of improvement in the symptoms of the underlying disease. The closed-angle form has the appearance of an acute attack - a lightning-fast deterioration of the patient's condition while maintaining acute mydriasis with signs of roush attacks, acute ischemic neuro-optical catastrophe. The open type of inflammation is a chronic form in which an acute attack is not detected at the examination stage. Depending on the patient's condition, several types of glaucoma can be determined:

1. acute – exacerbations from 2 times a year; 2. complicated – complications that develop from pathology; 3. daily – low decrease in indicators during the day; 4. night falls
