Xanthosis

Xanthosis is the name for a syndrome of yellow colored cells due to the accumulation of glycogen in the cytoplasm of the liver. With this disease, a lot of its substance (glycogen) accumulates in the liver cells, which looks like a yellow-orange color. Hyperglycemia is a metabolic pathology affecting carbohydrate metabolism, occurring as an independent disease or a complication of endocrine pathology, leading to an abnormal change in the quantity and quality of carbohydrates in the blood. Typically, the diagnosis of hyperglycemia is made by the attending physician after studying the totality of symptoms and conducting certain tests to confirm the presence of this deviation from the norm. And yet, diabetes mellitus is often the cause of changes in sugar levels - a disease that occurs in a chronic form, caused by a lack of insulin produced by the pancreas or destructive changes in its functioning.
