Lability Affective

Introduction

Affective lability is a state of constant changes in mood and emotions that can be caused by various factors. This condition is characterized by frequent and unpredictable changes in mood, emotional reactivity, rate of speech, activity, motor control, cognitive processing, self-regulation, self-perception, etc.

Affective lability is fluctuations in mood over different periods of time. It manifests itself in a person in the form of a change in emotions. This may be an angry or irritable reaction to a minor situation. Adolescence is one of the turning points in life when character and behavior are formed. During this period, emotional lability occurs in adolescents. What it is?

Adolescent lability can manifest itself in different ways. Usually in children it is associated with the following symptoms: - unstable mood; - outbursts of anger; - impulsiveness;

The affective cycle includes boom and bust phases. If a person is in a mood decline phase for a long time, then his bipolar disorder progresses. To diagnose depression or bipolar disorder in a teenager, it is necessary to observe him for several weeks or months.

**Why is it not always possible to control emotions?**

Typically, bipolar depression occurs in people with a history of medical conditions such as:

- alcoholism, - drug addiction, - nutrition problems, - somatic diseases, - mental disorders. In addition, there is evidence that the development of depression can be facilitated by traumatic stressful events (disasters, violence or loss of loved ones), the use of medications or drugs. The so-called fact of accumulation or disease makes a person less protected and vulnerable to negative effects. For these reasons, all risk factors should be considered in all patients. However, the main reason for the development of mood disorders in minors is the so-called **biological factor**. Factors related to biology and heredity include genetics, hormonal levels, and the presence in the genotype of mutations responsible for the process of producing neurotransmitters. The concentration of the latter is responsible for the body’s ability to resist stress, namely the body’s stress resistance. Normally, the body completely copes with stress on its own, regulating the balance of mediators and stress hormones. However, in some people this mechanism does not occur, the concentration of adrenal hormones responsible for stress increases, and neuroses begin, calmness disappears, irritability and inability to cope with simple situations appear.

Lability or instability in the emotional sphere affects not only a person’s nervous system, but also his behavior. At the same time, a person can easily switch his attention, react to various external stimuli, but has poor control over his emotions, as a result of which an uneven emotional background is formed. This can manifest itself in constant mood swings, sudden changes in emotions and the appearance of uncontrollable negative reactions.

The labile emotional sphere is a manifestation of a peculiarity of the nervous system, which is prone to frequent excitability,
