Leukocyturia

Leukocyuria is the medical term for the presence of white blood cells in the urine. This condition indicates the presence of inflammation in the urinary tract. In this case, the urine is not sterile, i.e. it contains bacteria and their waste products - antibodies (protein fragments - waste products of microbes activated by the immune system).

Leukocytomuria can be caused by various factors, among which bacterial or infectious inflammation in the urinary system should be noted. On the other hand, in healthy people without signs of infection, leukocytuuria may occur after long-term use of certain antibiotics.

The level of white blood cells in the fecal fluid is an indicator of its purity and health. An increased level of white blood cells may indicate the presence of an infection in the body. The norm is the content of 3-6 leukocyte cells per 2 fields of view in the field of view of the microscope.
