Lhermitte Symptom

**Lermitt's symptom** is a neurological manifestation that occurs in the presence of herniated intervertebral discs and swelling of surrounding tissues in the cervical spine, most often C3-C4. Depending on the degree of compression of the spinal cord, it manifests itself in the form of short-term muscle twitching of various muscle groups during manual therapy using the Larmitte method. It is also called Lhermitte's disease.

Complaints: - discomfort, shooting pain in the neck and occipital region; - sudden tension in the neck muscles; - attacks of pain when turning the head;

Without treatment, it can lead to a serious complication - vascular stroke (stroke). The next few years may go steadily well, but then it worsens again.
