Lymphoma

Lymphoma is a malignant tumor of the lymph nodes, including Hodgkin's disease. There are many types of these tumors; The predicted life expectancy of a person for some of them is only a few months, while for others it can be several years. The patient usually experiences multiple enlarged lymph nodes, general weight loss, fever and severe sweating. The disease may spread, affecting several groups of lymph nodes, or may be limited to just one organ, such as the tonsil.

For treatment, drugs such as chlorambucil, or a combination of cyclophosphamide, vincristine and prednisone are used (sometimes doxorubicin and/or bleomycin are added to them); however, the reaction to these drugs is often very strong. To treat localized lymphoma, radiation therapy can be used, which is used after the patient has undergone a course of drug therapy.

Patients with non-Hodgkin's lymphomas that do not respond well to chemotherapy can be significantly improved by a bone marrow transplant.

Lymphoma is a malignant neoplasm of the lymphatic system, often affecting the lymph nodes and blood cells. This type of cancer develops from certain immune system cells called lymphocytes and causes them to grow, producing potentially cancerous variants. Depending on the type of lymphoma, symptoms may include persistent fever, swollen lymph glands (usually
