Lingesin: an effective ointment for the treatment of purulent-inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and gums

Lingesin is a combined antibiotic ointment produced in Russia and intended for the treatment of purulent-inflammatory diseases of the oral mucosa and gums. It is a product of the pharmaceutical group "Combined Antibiotics" and is produced by the Bryntsalov company.

The dosage form of Lingesin is an ointment that contains several active ingredients. It contains lincomycin hydrochloride, gentamicin sulfate, protease, PVP, glycerin, polyethylene oxide and propylene glycol. These components have antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, which contributes to the effective treatment of purulent infections and inflammatory processes in the oral cavity and gums.

Lingesin is recommended for use in diseases such as aphthae, stomatitis, gingivitis, abscessing periodontitis and other purulent-inflammatory conditions of the oral mucosa and gums. However, it should be noted that the drug has contraindications. It is not recommended for hypersensitivity to the components of the ointment.

When using Lingesin, local irritating effects, such as a slight burning sensation, may occur. The interaction of the ointment with other drugs is not yet known, and there is also no information about overdose.

When using Lingesin, some features should be taken into account. It is not recommended to apply the ointment to bleeding or festering tumor surfaces, or to use it in the reparative phase of the wound process. In addition, the combination of Lingesin with other topical agents, with the exception of isotonic sodium chloride solution, should be avoided, as this may lead to inactivation of protease “C”.

Information about Lingesin can be found in the literature, including the 2003 Encyclopedia of Drugs.
