Locacorten: an effective remedy for the treatment of skin diseases

Locacorten is a drug with glucocorticosteroid activity that is widely used to treat various skin diseases. Its international name is flumethasone, and synonyms include Locacorten-vioform and Lorinden. Locacorten is manufactured in Croatia by Pliva and in Switzerland by Ciba-Geigy.

Locacorten is available in several dosage forms, including cream, ointment, and lotion containing 0.02% flumethasone. The active ingredient of the drug - flumethasone - has anti-inflammatory and antiallergic properties, which makes it an effective remedy for the treatment of skin diseases.

Indications for the use of Locacorten include eczema, neurodermatitis and itching. This means that Locacorten can be used to relieve symptoms associated with inflammation, itching and skin irritation that often accompany these conditions.

However, like other medicines, Locacorten has some contraindications and restrictions for use. It is not recommended for hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, as well as for tuberculosis and syphilitic skin lesions. You should also avoid using Locacorten in the presence of skin reactions after vaccination and conjunctival lesions. Extensive lesions of the skin and mucous membranes are also limitations to the use of Locacorten.

When using Locacorten, some side effects are possible, including allergic reactions. The interaction of Locacorten with other drugs has not yet been sufficiently studied, so there is no information about interactions with other drugs. There is also no data on overdose and special instructions for the use of Locacorten.

Locacorten is one of the effective remedies for the treatment of skin diseases, and its use should be under medical supervision. If any side effects or unusual reactions to the drug occur, seek medical attention immediately.
