Lupus or lupus erythematosus is a chronic systemic connective tissue disease that primarily affects young people. In approximately half of cases, the main symptoms of lupus appear between the ages of 15 and 18 years, and in the remaining cases, between 20 and 30 years. Acute and subacute forms of the disease are quite rare - in 5% of cases. Inflammation in this disease affects the joint, skin and nervous systems, leading to symptoms such as swollen joints, muscle pain, skin rashes, red eyes and peeling skin. Due to damage to the nervous system, depression, anxiety and other mental disorders may occur. Treatment mainly consists of taking immunosuppressants - drugs
