Mercaptopurine (Mercaptopurine)

Mercaptopurine is a drug that inhibits the growth of malignant cells. It is prescribed orally mainly for the treatment of certain types of leukemia (see Antimetabolite). Taking this drug usually causes a decrease in the number of white blood cells in the blood. In addition, a person may experience various digestive disorders and ulcerations of the oral mucosa.
