Metopion

Metopion is a Greek word meaning "forehead". This term describes the area of the head located between the forehead and eyebrows. The metopic suture is a skin marker that can be seen with a speculum in the supine position. It looks like a small scar or welt on the forehead and runs across the entire head. This scar occurs during intrauterine development, when the fetus has not yet been born and remains in the womb.
