Metpamide

Metpamide is an antiemetic drug that is used to treat nausea, vomiting and functional digestive disorders. It can also be used to prepare for diagnostic examinations of the gastrointestinal tract. Metpamid is produced in Turkey by Sifar Ilachlar Sanai AS.

Metpamide contains the active substance metoclopramide and is available in the form of tablets and injection solution. Metpamad tablets contain 10 mg metoclopramide and the injection solution contains 10 mg per ml.

Indications for the use of metpamad are nausea, vomiting, functional dyspepsia, reflux esophagitis, gastric atony and duodenal hypotension, as well as preparation for the diagnosis of the gastrointestinal tract.

Contraindications to the use of metpamad may include hypersensitivity to the active substance, glaucoma, pheochromacytoma, epilepsy and Parkinson's disease, as well as other extrapyramidal disorders.

Metpamad should be used under medical supervision and only as directed. Metpamad has a number of side effects, including headache, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, constipation and diarrhea.
