Mycetism

Mycetism is a term that originated in English. Refers to individual complexes of worldviews based on ecopathic anthropomorphism or exoic personification, and the mystical trend in medicine. Mycetists place their own theories of the development of the nature of disease above traditional concepts, especially biomedicine, holistic medicine and complementary alternative medicine. The term "mycetist" was first proposed by Arthur Lucas in 2009 (Lucas 2013). Developed while Lucas was writing his doctoral dissertation.
