Military medical examination (MME) is one of the most important components of the military medical service. Its main task is to determine the suitability of citizens for military service, as well as to assess the medical consequences of diseases and injuries received during military service.
As part of the VVE, a comprehensive medical examination is carried out, which includes studies of various organs and systems of the body, as well as a psychological examination. VVE experts determine whether a citizen’s health meets the requirements for military service and whether they recommend him for conscription or deferment.
The main categories of suitability of citizens for military service are “fit”, “limited fit” and “unfit”. Citizens recognized as “limitedly fit” may be granted deferments from conscription or assigned to alternative civilian service.
In addition, the VVE also conducts an examination of the medical consequences of diseases and injuries received during military service. Citizens who suffer such injuries or illnesses may be provided with appropriate medical care or compensation.
In general, military medical examination is an important tool for ensuring the health and safety of citizens undergoing military service, as well as for maintaining the combat effectiveness of military units. It allows you to reduce the risks of medical problems and improve the quality of life of citizens serving in the military.
