Myoblast

Myoblasts are cells that are part of the symplastic muscle layer that connects epithelial and muscle fibers in internal organs. They have different origins - muscular, epithelial, neuroglial, etc. depending on which organ they belong to. In humans, myoblasts in the muscles or gastrointestinal tract divide and give rise to new myocytes.
