Sculpting treatment for the eye contour

I recently discovered this eye care product. The manufacturer recommends this modeling care for the eye contour Serum Vegetal Yves Roche as a means for lifting the area around the eyes. But I believe that it has other properties besides this.

The care cream was packaged in a cardboard box, which was carefully sealed with a thin transparent film on top.

On the back of the care product, the manufacturer, composition, and method of use are indicated.

The cream itself is contained in a small tube.

Squeeze out this eye treatment using a pin-point applicator.

The cream itself is white in color, the texture is very delicate, and it smells nice.

This cream is applied evenly to the skin around the eye contour, absorbed very quickly and does not leave streaks.

As for the method of application, the cream should be applied to the skin around the eyes twice a day - morning and evening. After this, you can apply basic care to your facial skin.

The cream contains extracts of the mesembryanthemum crystallinum plant, which activates the production of protein that stimulates anti-wrinkle mechanisms and extracts of sea buckthorn grains, which resume the synthesis of collagen and hyaluronic acid, instantly restoring skin elasticity and preventing it from sagging.

Cream care instantly tightens the contours of the eyes, refreshes, nourishes and moisturizes the skin. Recommended for use from 40 years of age. I can’t say yet whether it removes wrinkles and dark circles under the eyes, I think that the result will be obvious a month after its use.

If desired, you can use it to distribute the product over the skin, but out of habit, I find it more convenient to apply with my fingertips. The product has a slightly yellowish tint, with a very pleasant, even tasty smell.

The cream is wonderful, tender, nutritious. Gorgeously softens and smoothes the skin, gives a healthy glow and somehow generally refreshes. Absorbs quickly and feels very comfortable.

What the manufacturer writes:

Plant of Life Extract: Mesembryanthemum crystallinum, by activating the production of mTOR protein in the skin*, stimulates anti-wrinkle mechanisms at the cellular level. The formula also includes Sea Buckthorn grain extract, which renews the synthesis of elastin, collagen and hyaluronic acid*, instantly restoring skin firmness, improving its elasticity and preventing sagging.

Instantly wrinkles and fine lines under the eyes‚ including crow's feet‚ are smoothed out.

A treatment with a hydrating, fresh texture that instantly tightens the contours of the eyes.

Tested under dermatological supervision.

PS. The product is from the 45+ line, but in fact it is quite suitable for 30+

Yves Rocher cosmetics promises us with the help of its products not much, not less, how to “re-draw the contours of the face.” Sounds very tempting)))

Day Care for Wrinkles & Contouring of Face and Neck

modeliruyushij-uhod-dlya-EjLvRN.webp

I quote an advertisement from the Yves Rocher website:

Day Care for Wrinkles & Sculpting of Face and Neck Contours - All skin types, enriched with Plant of Life extract: Mesembryanthemum crystallinum, is right for you.

Even the most noticeable wrinkles are instantly smoothed out.

After 1 month, the oval of the face is restored.

Chemical composition:

  1. glycerin is a humectant, attracts and retains water.
  2. ethylhexyl sterate is an analogue of stearic acid. Fatty acid, emulsifier, emulsion thickener, helps to mix the cream components with each other. Non-toxic to skin. Softens the skin.
  3. dimethicone is a silicone that is absolutely inert to the skin. Softens the skin, facilitates easier distribution of the cream over the skin, and is non-comedogenic.
  4. methylpropanediol - glycol, refers to the auxiliary ingredients. Solvent provides deeper penetration of active ingredients into the skin. It has moisturizing properties and leaves the skin soft and pleasant to the touch. Non-toxic to skin.
  5. glycine soja (soybean) oil - soy protein. One of the most effective cosmetic ingredients. Stimulates collagen synthesis, increases skin firmness and elasticity.
  6. brassica campestris (rapeseed) seed oil - raspberry seed oil, odorless, is one of the best cosmetic ingredients. A rich source of antioxidants, polyunsaturated fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6), softens the skin and restores the skin barrier.
  7. hydrogenated coco-glycerides - emollient and thickener for cosmetics. Refers to "good" ingredients.
  8. sesamum indicum seed oil - sesame seed oil, emollient, herbal ingredient.
  9. methyl glucose sesquistearate is a mixture of methyl glucoside diester and stearic acid. Refers to “good” cosmetic ingredients. Softens and improves the appearance of the skin, that is, it works as an emollient.
  10. centaurea cyanus flower water - water of cornflower or gentian flowers, has anti-inflammatory and softening properties.
  11. PEG-100 stearate, glyceryl stearate - emulsifiers, emollients, increase skin smoothness. Not toxic to skin.
  12. aphloia theiformis leaf extract - aphloia leaf extract is a Madagascar tea. There have been practically no scientific studies confirming its effectiveness and safety in cosmetics. Contains antioxidants and tannins, has a pigment-constricting effect.
  13. phenoxyethanol is a preservative, a powerful antibacterial agent and antiseptic. Its other name is Ethylene Glycol Monophenyl Ether. Used as a replacement for parabens. Absolutely safe for the skin, its safety has been confirmed by research - both when applied to the skin and when taken orally. The research was conducted in the Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) Expert Panel. The maximum permissible safe concentration in cosmetics is 1%.
  14. parfum is a synthetic fragrance that may cause irritation to sensitive skin.
  15. caesalpinia spinosa gum is a substance that is obtained from the endospermium of Caesalpinia Spinosa. This plant is known as Tara (Quechua). Grows in Peru. Refers to auxiliary cosmetic ingredients - adhesive, improves skin condition, forms a film on the skin, increases the viscosity of the cosmetic product. Considered safe when applied to the skin.
  16. ethyl linoleate, carbomer, lecithin, xanthan gum, sorbic acid, tocopheryl acetate, retinyl palmitate
  17. hippophae rhamnoides kernel extract - sea buckthorn oil. Sea buckthorn berries are rich in malic and acetic acid, which belong to the class of alpha hydroxy acids, and flavonoids. The oil contains fatty acids. Sea buckthorn is a rich source of vitamin C, which, unfortunately, is quickly destroyed during the processing of berries. Therefore, it is most effective to eat these valuable berries. There is very little scientific research to support the activity of this ingredient when applied to the skin. Some studies support its antioxidant and wound-healing properties.
  18. sodium hydroxide, methylsilanol mannuronate, mesembryanthemum crystallinum extract, sodium benzoate, citric acid, tocopherol, potassium sorbate, propyl gallate.

Conclusion:

Yves Rocher cosmetics does not explain to us what ingredients are used in this cream to “re-draw a clear oval of the face” 🙂

Just a good moisturizer for skin prone to dryness, contains skin-healthy oils - soybean, raspberry seeds, sesame.

Contains skin-soothing ingredients - cornflower water, antioxidants - Madagascar tea extract (affloya), components that improve intercellular connections - lecithin.

Cons - packaging the product in a jar leads to a faster destruction of vitamins and antioxidants; fragrance can provoke an allergic reaction; will not fulfill its advertising promises.

Rating: good (if you use it simply as a moisturizer), average (if you expect a lifting product from this)))

Cosmetics Yves Rocher Night Care for Wrinkles & Contouring of the Face and Neck

modeliruyushij-uhod-dlya-PChNA.webp

Yves Rocher cosmetics in the same series - Serum Vegetal - offers us “night cream for modeling the contours of the face and neck.” Here is his advertisement:

Day after day, even the most noticeable wrinkles are smoothed out.
After 1 month, the oval of the face is restored. Treatment with a tightening balm texture intensively nourishes the skin.

Chemical composition:

  1. glycerin, methylpropanediol, glycine soja oil, ethylhexyl stearate, dimethicone, steareth-2, glyceryl stearate, butylene glycol, behenyl alcohol, PEG-100 stearate - see above.
  2. hydrogenated coconut oil - hydrogenated coconut oil improves skin condition. Occlusive (creates a film on the surface of the skin), emollient (softens the skin), opalescent agent. Very widely used in cosmetology. Absolutely safe in cosmetics.
  3. butyrospermum parkii butter - shea butter, or shea butter. One of the best cosmetic ingredients, rich in antioxidants and fatty acids. Softens and moisturizes the skin, restores the natural moisturizing factor on the skin surface.
  4. centaurea cyanus flower water, caesalpinia spinosa gum, parfum, ethyl linoleate, ammonium acryloydimethyltaurate/vp copolymer, sorbic acid, tocopheryl acetate, retinyl palmitate, hippophae rhamnoides kernel extract, methylsilanol mannuronate, sodium hydroxide, mesembryanthemum crystallinum extract, phenoxyethanol, sodium benzoate, citric acid, tocopherol, potassium sorbate, caprylyl glycol, propyl gallate.

Conclusion:

Yves Rocher cosmetics do not diversify their compositions too much 🙁

So, the composition of the night cream is almost the same as the composition of the day cream, well, except that oils were added to richen the texture, to nourish the skin and restore the skin barrier.

Suitable for dry skin. Don't expect a lift!

I don’t see the point in dividing these 2 creams into day and night - the day cream still has no sunscreen filters, it only differs in a lighter texture. Neither one nor the other will fulfill their advertising promises.

Cosmetics Yves Rocher Sculpting Eye Contour Care

modeliruyushij-uhod-dlya-VGevgd.webp

Another product from the Yves Rocher Serum Vegetal line with the subsection “Wrinkles & fuzzy oval face” is a cream for the skin around the eyes.

Yves Rocher cosmetics also promise us to “tighten up the eye contour” 🙂

The cream is packaged in a 14 ml tube.

Chemical composition:

  1. ethylhexyl sterate, dimethicone, glycerin, methylpropanediol, coco-caprylate/carpate, cetearyl alcohol - emollients, silicone, humectants.
  2. macadamia ternifolia seed oil - macadamia nut oil, a valuable cosmetic ingredient. Used to soften very dry skin.
  3. centaurea cyanus flower water, stearyl heptanoate - cornflower water soothes the skin; the second ingredient is an ester of stearyl fatty alcohol and heptane (enanthic) fatty acid. It can be obtained by chemical synthesis or of natural origin - animal (from sperm whale fat) or vegetable. Emollient. Not comedogenic.
  4. squalane is an unsaturated natural hydrocarbon classified as a carotenoid. It was first isolated from shark liver in Japan in 1916. Currently, it is obtained mainly from extra virgin olive oil or from amaranth seed oil. To prevent squalene from oxidizing, its synthetic hydrogenated version, squalane, obtained from organic fatty acids, is used in cosmetics. Squalane is heat stable and does not oxidize upon contact with air. The squalane molecule is similar in its chemical composition to the squalene of human sebum, so it is very well integrated into the lipid layer of the skin barrier and restores it. Squalane increases skin elasticity, accelerates its regeneration, smoothes out fine wrinkles. Suitable for sensitive skin. It increases local immunity, which is why it is often used in the formulation of products for oily, inflamed skin.
  5. butyrospermum parkil butter, aphloia theiformis leaf extract, phenoxyethanol, ceteareth-33, benzyl alcohol, caesalpinia spinosa gum, stearyl caprylate - see above.
  6. escin is a saponin isolated from horse chestnut seeds. It has a tonic effect on blood vessels and strengthens the vascular wall. Also known for its anti-inflammatory effect, reduces skin redness. "Good" ingredient.
  7. ethyl linoleate, mica, xanthan gum, caffeine, acrylates/c-10-30 alkyl acrylate, crosspolymer, tocopheryl acetate, retinyl palmitate, cellulose gum, hippophae rhamnoides kernel oil, , methylsilanol carboxymethyl theophylline alginate, sodium hydroxide, mesembryanthemum crystallinum extract, sodium benzoate, citric acid, tocopherol, potassium sorbate, propyl gallate, cl77891.

Conclusion:

Yves Rocher cosmetics has created a moisturizing cream (not only for the skin around the eyes, but also for the rest of the skin of the face))), which softens dry skin well, increases its elasticity, and camouflages fine wrinkles.

Due to escin and caffeine, it improves blood microcirculation, slightly reduces puffiness of the skin around the eyes and thus slightly reduces the severity of dark circles under the eyes.

Dark circles under the eyes are also camouflaged due to particles of mica - mica, which have light-reflecting properties.

Fragrance-free, suitable for dry and sensitive skin.
