Muscle, Papillary Anterior (M. Papillaris Anterior, Pna)

M. papillaris anterior, pna is one of the muscles of the human heart. Refers to the number of papillary muscles located in the wall of the ventricles of the heart.

M. papillaris anterior starts from the interventricular septum, descends to the apex of the heart and ends with a tendon that attaches to the anterior papillary muscle of the left ventricle. This muscle takes part in the contraction of the ventricles of the heart, and also prevents the eversion of the atrioventricular valves into the cavity of the ventricles during their contraction.

The muscle, papillary anterior (m. papillaris anterior, pna) is a muscle of the human heart.

  1. The papillary anterior muscle is a muscle of the heart. It is located in the wall of the left and right ventricles of the heart.

  2. The function of the papillary anterior muscle is to participate in the contraction of the ventricles of the heart and the ejection of blood into the aorta and pulmonary trunk. Contraction of this muscle helps empty the ventricles during systole.

Thus, the papillary anterior muscle is an important component of the muscular tissue of the heart, providing its contractile function. It plays a key role in the heart's function as a mechanical pump that pumps blood through the vessels.
