Muscle, Plantaris (M. plantaris, Pna, Bna, Jna)

**Plantar** (lat. Musculus planataris) is a human muscular organ. Its main function is to hold the body in a standing position.

The muscle is located in the lower leg area between the medial malleolus and lateral malleolus. This muscle is responsible for maintaining the position of the leg and foot on the ground, as well as stabilizing the torso in an upright position.

In some languages, such as English and French, the name of the muscle has double or triple spelling. Each of them corresponds to a specific part or location of the muscle. For example, the Latin word m. to refer to muscle can be translated into English as "muscle" or "mm".

**Muscle names:**

* M. (musculus) - Latin name for muscles;

*m. (musculum) - Latin letters MM indicate the plural;
