Suprapiriform apophysis
The supragiriform foramina may also be called Trierson's foramen. They are located on the upper border of the body of the sphenoid bone and in front of this process supply the canal of the carotid artery and veins with many small blood vessels, and sometimes with sensory nerve fibers. From below, these bones are delimited through the pyramidal fissure from the superficial hook of the temporal bone.
