Naproxen-ICN is a drug that belongs to the group of anti-inflammatory drugs derived from propionic acid. Its active ingredient naproxen has analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory effects.

The drug is available in the form of 250 mg tablets and is produced by CN Leksredstva in Russia. Naproxen-ICN is also known under such synonyms as Aleve, Apo-Naproxen, Apranax, Aprol, Daprox entero, Inaprol, Naxen, Nalgesin, Nalgesin forte, Nalixan, Naprios, Naprobene, Naproxen, Naproxen-Acri, Naproxen-Teva, Naprosin, Noritis, Pronaxen and Sanaprox.

Naproxen-ICN is used for the treatment of rheumatism, rheumatoid arthritis, reactive synovitis with deforming osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, articular syndrome with exacerbation of gout, neuralgia, myalgia, migraine, toothache, adnexitis, primary dysmenorrhea, tumor, traumatic, postoperative pain, ENT diseases organs and feverish conditions.

Naproxen-ICN is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to its components, as well as in the “aspirin” triad - asthma, rhinitis and recurrent nasal polyposis. Also, the drug is not recommended for peptic ulcers of the stomach and duodenum in the acute phase. It is necessary to limit the use of Naproxen in cases of severe cardiac, hepatic and renal failure, hematopoietic disorders, adolescence (up to 16 years), pregnancy and breastfeeding.

When using Naproxen-ICN, side effects may occur such as heartburn, nausea, vomiting, epigastric discomfort, diarrhea, gastric damage (erythema of the mucous membrane, hemorrhages, erosions and ulcers), bleeding, headache, tinnitus, dizziness, weakness, sweating, drowsiness, slow reaction rate, hearing impairment, liver and kidney function, as well as allergic reactions in the form of skin rashes, itching and Quincke's edema.

Naproxen-ICN may interact with other drugs, increasing their toxicity or decreasing their effect. For example, Naproxen-ICN enhances the effect of anticoagulants, reduces the effectiveness of diuretics and antihypertensive drugs, and can cause hyperkalemia when used simultaneously with potassium-sparing diuretics and CCPs (starch-containing antiacids). When Naproxen-ICN is used together with aspirin, an antiplatelet effect may occur, which may increase the risk of bleeding.
