Negro Symptom

Negro was an Italian neurologist and one of the most famous representatives of negrosymptomatology. In his writings, he described the syndrome that still bears his name.

Negro based his diagnosis on the patient's symptom characteristics and personality traits. He believed that the main hallmarks of nervous system disorders were characteristic behavioral patterns such as risk-seeking, impulsiveness, a sense of adventure, and increased sensitivity to physical punishment.

In addition, Negro believed that physical structure may influence the development of symptoms. For example, he associated high growth with more pronounced development of the syndrome.
