Neuron Preganglionic

**Preganglinar neuron** is a type of neuron. Neurons come in different types and perform different functions in the body, and preganglionic neurons are an important element of the nervous system that influences cell metabolism.

Neuroanatomy. Morphology. Classification and functions.

This group of neurons is located in the body of the peripheral nerve trunk, in front of the sympathetic nucleus. More than half of their total number is allocated to it. Collaterals of pregangliary neurons, innervating internal organs and vessels, extend to the nuclei of the chains associated with the ganglia. So

Neuronal preganglions are structures that contain and integrate afferent and efferent inhibitory nerve fibers from the spinal cord, medulla oblongata, and cranial nerves. These structures are part of the cranial or peripheral nervous system and are connected to the brain and spinal cord. The preganglion neuron may play an important role in the body's adaptation to various stimuli.

**Function** Preganglioid cells consist of four different types of neurons: one type contains intralaminar cells, the other contains nigroreticular inhibitory cells
