Nerves Celiac Lumbar

Lumbar celiac nerve:

1. It is a branch of the splanchnic nerve. 2. A paired nerve formed by a bundle of posterior branches of several anterior lumbar spinal nerves and several anterior segments of three lumbar spinal cord trunks. 3. Has a total length of about 49 cm, extending from the second lumbar (L2) to the twelfth thoracic (Th12) intervertebral foramen. 4. Passes in front of the sheath of the rectus abdominis muscle and gives branches, primarily to the posterior muscles of the abdominal wall: Quadratus lumbar muscle, lumbar part of the iliopsoas muscle, psoas major muscle
