Neurohormone

Neurohormones are biologically active compounds of a group of peptides (proteins) that are produced by neurons and released into the general vascular network. They play an important role in regulating the activity of the nervous system, sensory and cognitive functions of the human body, and also support the emotional state. Neurohormines are classified depending on the type of cell in which they are synthesized: endocrine (produced by the adrenal medulla) and excretory (or circulating in the blood).
