Nevus Melanoform

Melanoform nevus is a benign skin neoplasm, which is characterized by a multifactorial origin, progressive growth and unpredictable course. The massive spread of this disease and the high frequency of its detection are a natural result of the unsatisfactory organization of diagnosis of skin melanoma in modern conditions. Each dermatologist is able to give so many examples of success in diagnosing melanoma that the lack of methods aimed at timely diagnosis of other malignant neoplasms and the exchange of experience among doctors in identifying factors contributing to the development of melanoma is considered a general problem in Russia and gives rise to depressing figures in this regard. In the absence of a clearly thought-out development strategy, the efficiency and speed of identifying melanogenic tumors decreases, the reliability of forensic research is called into question, and the number of unsolved crimes increases. This is not surprising for people who hold medical positions, since the reality is such that we are often forced to rely on quick and effective help, support from relatives or people like ourselves, turning to psychiatrists, priests, psychologists... Everyone lives in such an environment who are experiencing difficult problems in their personal lives and medical matters. Many patients with benign tumors seek advice from cosmetologists. The professional culture of a doctor and a nurse directly determines the positive outcome of the treatment process and the ability to solve scientific problems. Failure to understand that skin defects and other factors have a disharmonious effect on a person’s psychology and physical condition, increases his nervousness and turns him from an active participant in the recovery process into an observer and test subject.

**What is a nevus?**

There are many organs and tissues in the human body that have different shades. Also, human skin can have a light color, as well as be dark or even light. Skin cells produce small amounts of the pigment melanin, a dark brown pigment that helps protect us from the sun. The pigment is produced in response to exposure to sunlight. With a certain combination of genes, a group of skin cells can begin to produce too much melanin, resulting in the formation of a nevus, a skin patch called a dark spot (melanocytic dysplasia).

The child usually does not have any manifestations of melanosis, and dark spots may appear later in adolescence. However, even if there are dark spots, you should consult a doctor. There are different types of dark spots, such as age spots (such as freckles and lentigines), areas of normal pigmentation (moles), and melanocytic nevus. It is important to emphasize that black moles and congenital nevi may be different, but they are indeed different types of spots/dark spots. Pigmentation, called melanosis or nevus, can appear in various forms, including dark areas (pigmentation).
