Nevus pilaris

A hairy tumor, or hairy nevus, is a benign formation on the skin with dense congenital pigmented hair. In clinical practice it is known under a number of synonyms, including also **angiokeratoma** and acquired nevus (naevobone). A characteristic sign of a hairy nevus is increased hair growth under an abnormal coloration containing melanin or pigment.
