Omentopangysteropexy

Omentopangysteropexy (omentopanchysteropexy) is a surgical operation that is performed to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles and restore their function after childbirth or other operations on the uterus.

During surgery, the surgeon removes excess tissue that may be interfering with the normal function of the pelvic floor muscles and then strengthens them using special materials such as omentoplasty or panhysterectomy.

Omentoplasty is a procedure in which the surgeon uses fat from the abdomen to create additional tissue to strengthen the muscles. Panhysterectomy is an operation to remove the uterus and its appendages.

The operation is performed under general anesthesia and takes from 1 to 2 hours. After surgery, the patient usually stays in the hospital for 3 to 5 days and then can be discharged home.

Some complications may occur after surgery, such as bleeding, infection, or damage to the intestines. However, if the operation is performed correctly and the patient follows the doctor’s recommendations, then the risk of complications is minimal.

Overall, omenthopangisteropexy is an effective way to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles after childbirth or uterine surgery, which can help prevent problems such as urinary incontinence or organ prolapse.
