Operating Nurse

An operating room nurse is a nurse who works in the operating room. Her main responsibilities include:

  1. Preparation of the operating room and all necessary equipment and instruments for operations.

  2. Assisting surgeons during operations - handing over instruments, preparing suture material, monitoring sterility.

  3. Monitoring the patient's condition during anesthesia and surgery, monitoring vital signs.

  4. Processing and sterilization of instruments and materials after operations.

  5. Maintaining records of transactions.

Working in the operating room requires special education and training. Operating nurses must be attentive to detail, careful, stress-resistant and able to make quick decisions. Their work requires high professionalism and responsibility.
