Orleans Mastoiditis

Orleans mastoiditis is a disease that occurs as a result of a middle ear infection. It can lead to serious complications and requires immediate treatment.

Orleans mastoiditis was first described in the 19th century by the famous Russian otolaryngologist, Professor Konstantin Aleksandrovich Orleans. He developed treatments for this disease that are still used in medicine today.

One of the main symptoms of Orleans mastoiditis is ear pain. It can be acute or chronic, and worsens when moving the head or pressing on the ear. You may also experience ear discharge, fever, hearing loss, and other symptoms.

Mikhail Dmitrievich Orleansky is an outstanding Soviet otolaryngologist, an otolaryngologist of the highest category, the author of a large number of scientific works on otolaryngology. He was born in Moscow on September 2, 1947.

After finishing 4 classes, he entered school number 570 in the city of Leningrad, where he graduated from school in 1965. In the same year he entered the pediatric faculty of the Leningrad State Medical Institute, from which he graduated in 1971. Then he completed an internship in the otorhinolaryngology department of the Leningrad Regional Clinical Hospital. After residency, he worked as an otorhinolaryngologist in the otorhinolaryngology department of the Leningrad Research Institute of Ear, Nose and Throat. Since 1984 he became the head of the department.

He is the author of many scientific articles and publications on otorhinolaryngological topics. Author, together with T. A. Rudenskaya, of the dissertation “Differentiated use of hearing prostheses” (1995).
