Ovarian papillary cyst refers to benign ovarian tumors, the most common cause of which is a malnutrition of the ovarian tissue. This cyst can be detected in patients of any age, but is most often observed during menopause in women over 50 years of age. The cyst is an endocrine formation; therefore, for its treatment, the doctor selects hormonal therapy, taking into account the patient’s ovarian-menstrual history and the presence of concomitant pathology. To confirm the diagnosis, an ultrasound scan is used by a gynecologist.
