Ovomasculinoma

Ovomasculinoma, also ovoprolactocytoma and ovoandriadinoma, is a rare hormonally active benign neoplasm of the ovaries or epididymis that secretes androgens or their precursors, usually prolactin and estrogens. It belongs to the group of ovarian epithelial tumors and is distinguished by the bilateral nature of the tumor in its true meaning [1]. In the literature, there is a mention of ovofibroma as a morphological variant of ovomascilinoma - a benign tumor formation with masculine-like properties. With this classification, they are considered several variants of the same tumor. True information about ovofiboma and, especially, about ovoprolacticytoma is not available. Such a disease is considered a hoax, because prolactin is not an active hormone and the endocrine function in the kidneys, which is the only place of production of such a hormone, is not realized.
