Calculosis pancreatitis is a chronic inflammation of the pancreas, which is accompanied by the formation of stones in its ducts. These stones can form from dead tissue of the gland and the products of its secretion, as well as from fats, proteins and salts that accumulate in its glands.

Symptoms of pancreatitis calculosis may include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of appetite, irritability and bowel dysfunction. In severe forms of the disease, swelling of the pancreas and deterioration in the functioning of other organs may occur.
