Papula

Papules are small nodular rashes on the skin that occur due to various irritating and allergic reactions of the body. Papules can vary in shape, color and size, ranging from subtle reddish dots to large, prominent spots. Some types of papules can be caused by internal problems, such as liver and kidney diseases.

Typically, papules are not a dangerous skin pathology and can go away on their own without any treatment. However, when papules appear on the skin, it is important to remember that they may indicate diseases of the internal organs. For example, a papular rash on the legs may indicate heart or circulatory problems, while papular rashes on the face sometimes indicate gastrointestinal problems. As a rule, a cream with salicylic acid in the form of a shower is used to remove papules. Remedies such as tea tree oil, rubbing alcohol, and hydrogen peroxide may also be effective. Papular rashes are very diverse, so you shouldn’t try to treat them yourself; you need to contact a dermatologist who will determine the cause of the papules and select the most effective treatment.
