Paragonimosis

Paragonymy (paragonim) is an invasion by flatworms of the genus Paragonimus. The paragonim consists of some species of flatworms that are capable of living in the body of animal hosts and contain the characteristic biomorph of pseudocirrus. These paragons represent the fauna of the class Trematoda, belonging to the subclass Plagiorchiida of the family Schistosomatidae.
