Paralysis Lead

Lead paralysis is a medical term used in the 18th and 19th centuries to describe a disease caused by lead poisoning. This disease was known as "wrinkling" and was considered very serious and even fatal. However, the condition is now known as hand and foot neuropathy, or Recutts disease, which can be caused by a wide range of factors, including toxic substances such as lead.

Recutts disease manifests itself as a feeling of leaden heaviness in the legs and arms, especially in the morning after waking up, or when sitting for long periods of time. There is also weakness in the extremities, pain and tingling in the arms and legs.

Treatment for Recutts' disease includes limiting exposure to lead and other toxic substances. Physical therapy and medications may also be used to reduce pain. However, be aware that lead poisoning can lead to other serious illnesses such as kidney failure and pneumonia. Therefore, if you work or live in an area where the air contains large amounts of lead dust, it is worth taking steps to protect your health.
