The paravertebral line (lat. linea paravertebralis), also often mistakenly called the suboccipital line, is a groove or scar on the skin running from behind, under the occipital protuberances along the vertebrae. It appears as a clear horizontal line, which looks like a fold on the vastus dorsi muscle. At the moment I don’t have enough knowledge to write a full article for you.
