Peppermint is a plant of the Lamiaceae family. It has antispasmodic, sedative and choleretic effects.
Action. Antispasmodic, sedative and choleretic effect.
Indications. It is used for nausea, vomiting, and smooth muscle spasms.
Directions for use and dosage. Taken orally as an infusion (5 g of raw material per 200 ml of boiling water) 1 tablespoon 3-4 times a day, as a tincture 10-15 drops per dose, in the form of mint tablets 1-2 under the tongue. Peppermint oil is used as a gargle as a refreshing and antiseptic.
Release form. Shredded leaves in packaging; peppermint leaf briquettes; tincture; mint tablets.
