Supracondylar fracture

An epicondylar fracture is an injury to the part of the humerus between the brachialis muscle and the epicondyle. The epicondyle plays an important role in creating and strengthening the arms for movement and fine motor skills. The main cause of an epicondyle fracture is a fall from a height. And also in case of non-compliance with safety measures and delayed actions after a fall

Symptoms of overload of the supracondyle: - Dropping of the arm. - Soreness. - Limitation of mobility of the shoulder joint.

If a supracondylar fracture is suspected, the following is carried out to clarify the diagnosis: - Clinical examination. - MRI (magnetic resonance imaging).

Treatment of a supramuscular fracture: Surgical methods (metalplasty and osteoplastic surgery) are often used to restore bones. This is due to the fact that the period of bone formation takes more than 6 weeks, during which the patient is disabled. Conservative treatment (without surgery) is practiced only for minor bone deformities or abundant blood supply
