Phlegmon of the throat

All processes of the formation of phlegmon in the larynx can be a consequence of infectious and purulent diseases of the oropharynx, nose, ear, paranasal sinuses, thyroid gland, stomach, esophagus, lungs, teeth. The most common causes include boils, abscesses of the tonsils, nose and pharynx. Less commonly, phlegmon is provoked by a herpetic infection, HIV infection or injury. The inflammatory process occurs simultaneously in different parts of the pharynx
