Pilorin

Piloran is a hormone produced by large polymorphic basophilic cells of the duodenal mucosa (DLC) and flows of liquid hormone into the common bile duct (D-peptide). The DLC is located at a distance of about 75–85 cm from the stomach in a transverse direction relative to the vertical axis of the esophagus. It may also release hormones (eg, gastrin, GIP) into another part of the GI tract. The rate of release of Durantium increases in infants and decreases one year after birth. The GDC contains dendritic cells that create informational microcirculatory gates. Their function is to create protective protein complexes against foreign antigens by presenting them to specialized immune response T cells. Pylorian lesions are observed in various diseases
