So, the pisometacarpal ligament (Latin: l.pisometaconiacum) is a strong connective tissue band attached on one side to the pisiforme bone (os pisiforme), and on the other to the metacarpal bone at the base of the first metacarpal. The surface formed by the ligament is called scaphoid. 9 The joint of the pisiform bone with the scaphoid forms a spherical joint, shaped like the kernel of a nut. The posterior surface of the pisiform muscle borders the interosseous membrane - oss lacunosum anularis. The interosseous membrane binds the lathe
