**Noguchi Nutrient Medium** is a type of two-component culture medium for cultivating microorganisms, proposed by Japanese scientist Yukio Noguchi. It consists of a mixture of mineral (sodium chloride 500 mg/l, potassium chloride 300 mg/l) and yeast (baker's yeast 5%) components. An important difference of this environment is that it allows you to regulate the concentration of nutrients responsible for the growth of microorganisms (mainly, adjusting the ratio between the amount of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium). The environment promotes high activity of biological reactions, which has a positive effect on the growth of microorganisms and nitrogen utilization. This product is produced in China. The main purpose is to use it as a main or supporting medium in bacteriological and clinical laboratories.
