Placenta Marginal

Placental marginal walls are formations located at the bottom of the myometrium and have a lobular or nodular shape. Their appearance is associated with a violation of the integrity of the fetal provisional barrier and the passage of unconsolidated basement membranes (metaplastic tissues) around the fetal head in the area of the lower third of the placenta. The origin of the placental marginal walls is explained through their development from the terminal decidual villi. Morphogenesis of the placental marginal wall includes division and growth of parent deciduocytes, mitotic reproduction, migration, proliferation and maturation of mother cells. The process of anlage results in the formation of a zone of the basal layer, which differentiates into an intense cranialized articulation of hemicamouflaged fibers (which leads to the appearance of their nodular shape). The formation of dens occurs from the pole of the villi, which lengthen, changing their consistency and reaching several centimeters. The duration of existence of the placental-marginal wall is short - 7-10 weeks. First of all, on its front surface

Placenta marginata. Description This pathology develops and occurs in cases of defective metabolism, obesity, and diabetes. Until a certain time, it remains asymptomatic, but as its size increases, it negatively affects the functioning of the lungs (fetus). During an ultrasound, a specialist detects an anomaly in the early stages of pregnancy. In a nulliparous woman, it occurs during multiple pregnancies, polyhydramnios, and diabetes mellitus. In addition, such a pathology can result from infections or various diseases. That is why it is important to carry out the following tests: STDs (sexually transmitted diseases), general urine test, test for the presence of antibodies in the blood. Unpleasant symptoms begin to manifest themselves only at the last stage of pregnancy, if there is a marginal location of the placenta, when it extends beyond the uterus on the back wall of the organ. In this case, the baby's head completely migrates into the uterus, the baby's pulse and cardiac activity stop, which ultimately ends in death. Symptoms of marginal placenta: Reduced amniotic fluid volume (ultrasound). Su
