Pleural Canal

Pleura and pleural sinuses

**Pleura** is a double layer of serous membrane that lines the surface of the chest cavity on all sides, with the exception of the junction of the esophagus and the stomach. The pleura forms the pleural cavity, which looks like a slit-like slit lined from the inside with a thin mucous membrane. Both surfaces of the pleura are connected to each other by strong fibrous cords - pleural fibers. The latter pass along the vessels, nerves and lymphatic pathways. Thanks to this feature
