Upper respiratory tract catarrh (also known as bronchial catarrh and bronchiosis) is a condition that is characterized by inflammation of the airways, nasopharynx and laryngeal palate. This usually results in decreased vocal ability and hoarse or barking sounds that may be heard when speaking or coughing.
