Postnystagmus

Postnystagmus

**Postnystagmus** in medicine is considered to be a condition in which the patient detects a violation of the basic rule of blinking. It is as follows: the pupils should be in the same position when the eye is open, and close while blinking. Otherwise, the eyeballs may be in different positions even after opening the eye. This disorder is more commonly called *nystagmus* (if we are talking about the simple form of this disease), it is one of the most common disorders of oculomotor functions. The so-called “stable” position of the pupils is observed only during movement, for example, when walking or standing with the body slightly tilted back; the position of the eyeballs can change depending on any movements of the patient. However, if treatment of this pathology is ineffective, dysfunction of the vestibular apparatus may develop. The concept of “postcataplexy” includes both a state of dysfunction of the nervous system and various diseases acquired as a result of its disruption. Among them are: * Meniere's disease, * brain tumors, * triminema, * spinal cord injuries, etc.
