Predentine

Predentin or predentin (pre-de-ntin, English predentin or predentinum from Latin prae- “before, before” + dentina “dentine”) is a substance from the group of true dentins of intrapulpal tissues. It is a dentin-like substance around the pulp. Unlike dentin, it contains few minerals. It is released during tooth depulpation.

Predentina. Predentins are various protein substances that line the floor of the mouth in the body and form the basis of tooth parts. In adults, mainly in old age, the phenomena of the caries process, desquamative gingivitis, and even inflammation of the pulp and periodontium occur with prolonged absence of teeth and are not accompanied by sensitivity to temperature influences.
