Prophase

Prophase is the stage of prophase of the spindle, short in time (usually 30 minutes), but constant in duration. With the help of prophase, the diameter of the nucleus decreases. Prophase ends the nucleolar period. The mitotic enzyme of prophase despirals the structure of chromosomes, thereby preparing them for the subsequent stage of division. At the final stage of prophase, the chromosomes are located at the equator of the spindle.
